On 4 and 5 April 2014 in Cotonou, the West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF/WECARD) organized the Stakeholder Consultation for the Validation of the Action Plan to establish the Alliance for Seed Industry in West Africa (ASIWA).
The Executive Director of the ASN was invited to represent the Network as a resource institution, and has actively participated in the discussions. He emphasized the importance of the ownership by institutions and seed associations of the actions under the Action Plan for the success of such initiative. The Director also pointed out that facilitating partnerships was key to the effective implementation of the Alliance.
