The CATALIST 2 project referred to in this publication “aimed to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and promote regional trade in Burundi, North and South Kivu in the DRC and Rwanda. Strengthening the availability and use of quality seeds is therefore an integral part of the project.

In this publication, the experiences gained from this project are analyzed to support the design and implementation of future interventions in the seed sector. Its recommendations can be used by donors, as well as those responsible for designing and implementing seed sector interventions in emerging economies.”
